Sparks Babe Ruth Baseball City Tournament 2013!!

...and so we have successfully completed yet another season of Sparks Babe Ruth Baseball. Thank you to those parents, Managers, Coaches, Umpires and Kids who contributed to another successful season. As we draw this season to a close by crowning a new division champion be on the lookout for the Fallball announcement coming out shortly. Though not as competitive as Spring baseball, it is a good way to keep your skills honed through the off season. Thanks again!!

Sparks Rockies - Main Division

Playing a very tough Cubs team coached by Mark Kotsios, the game started pretty ROCKY for the Champs. With 1 hit and several infield errors the Cubs were up by a score of 1 - 0 after the first inning however the Rockies pulled themselves together and following superb pitching by both Jerrid Gallegos and Eyan Miller, defense and timely hitting the Rockies climbed back in and put a foot hold on the game by locking down the Cubs and winning after 6 innings by a score of 11 to 1. Both pitchers combined for 7 strikeouts, no base on balls giving up 8 hits and only one unearned run. Offensively, the Rockies scored 11 runs on 9 hits led by Cayden Linares and Niko Budija who recorded key RBI's when it counted! Congratulations to Manager, Elisha Zayas and Coaches Bob Bailey and Kris Bailey and to the Rockies team of 13-15 year olds!
